your Family session
Every session is unique, just like your family! My goal is to create images that you will treasure forever. I also want every session to have something tangible from our time together, whether that be prints or an album of your favorite images.
LOCATION: One of the first things to consider is where you'd like your family photographed. I use natural and ambient light when I photograph. Most people choose to have their session in the comfort of their home, in an urban setting, or a natural setting, like a park or nature center.

TIMING: The majority of my outdoor sessions take place in the two hours before sunset or within an hour of sunrise, as this is when we have the most flattering and beautiful light. In home sessions usually occur late morning or early afternoon. Most sessions occur on weekends, but I am available some weekdays as well.
The SESSION: When we meet the day of the session, we will take a little time to get a little more acquainted. My approach is very relaxed. I want your photographs to be an accurate depiction of your family, and I focus on your family interaction. I come prepared to guide you and make you feel completely relaxed. Don't worry about how to stand or what to do with your arms, I will walk you through everything; all you have to do is be you! I'm ready to capture candid moments of fun, connection and love between you and your family. Sessions typically last around an hour, but I have no expectations of children sitting still and smiling at my camera for this time. I like to let children be themselves, and we will run, play, and hug! This way we get genuine expressions rather than forced smiles.
Wardrobe: What is most important is that you are comfortable. I recommend two base colors; coordinating but not all matching. If you know you are going to want prints in a particular room of your home, consider the color palette when planning outfits. Pinterest is always a great place to start, but I am happy to discuss wardrobe with you further if you would like.
after the session: Within three weeks of your session date, I will send you a link to your online gallery. Your session fee includes at least 15 full resolution digital images. All digital downloads are yours to share, print and keep forever. Your session includes an album or a print credit. You may use your print credit towards wall art such as framed prints, canvases, or an album of your favorite images from the session. Due to limitations with printing inks and medias, I can only guarantee colors and appearance when you print through me.
investment: I offer two two different options for family sessions. Either option includes the session, digital images, and a print credit. I offer only the highest quality heirloom prints and products. The average client invests an additional $400 in print products after the session. Read more about pricing here.
