Grapevine Lake is minutes from my house, yet I rarely shoot there. I realized it had been quite a while, so I suggested it as our location for this session, and I'm so glad mom agreed! This family's connection was so apparent right from the minute I met them. I usually do a little directing during my sessions while also letting a family's natural interactions come through. I'll direct family members to get a little closer or lean this way or that just to make what they are doing a little more aesthetically pleasing in a photograph. Let me tell you, I felt a little like just a lady with a camera snapping away during their session. It was like they were reading my mind!
Now, not all my families are like this! I never want anyone to feel stressed during a session. I want everyone to have fun. We walk around, tell jokes (which I am horrible at by the way!), make silly noises, and just generally have fun. My goal is to capture your family being themselves, so you can all look back on these memories as a family together.
